Stop Complaining, Take Charge of your Life.
Why do people complain?
Ya, we all do it once in a while. But, what about those complainers on a mission?
Most often, it is when things are not the way they want it to be.
Somebody’s actions do not meet their expectations….
Something happens and they feel it could’ve been better….
Many more endless reasons….
No matter why someone is (always) a Complainer Bunny, there are certain timeless facts that hold true most often. I’d like to share with you the top five facts on my list.
1. The Power to Make Better:
People complain about things over which they have the power to make better (but choose not to exercise this power).
You often complain about your nasty Boss to your friends; but choose to work for that Boss rather than seeking out better opportunities.
2. Not the Right Person:
People complain to those who cannot fix it for them (but sometimes may make it worse).
You complain about your spouse to your neighbor; your spouse has no idea you are upset; and you have empowered you sneaky neighbor to make it worse for you.
3. Just a Bad Habit:
Some people complain because they feel that they should – it’s a whiney habit they picked up along the way. What a choice of a conversation starter!
4. The Feel Better Factor:
Some people complain because it makes them feel better – once they’ve dumped the complaint load on you.
5. The Negative Energy Factor:
Yes, maybe it makes the complainer feel better after the complaint-dumping episode. But have you ever heard of any complaint-listener say “Boy, it feels great!”?
I hope this post will motivate you to stop complaining and do something about “It”.
